Monsoon ke side effect!
By- Avisha Sharma
Last week the Hyderabadi’s were warn by the traffic police not to step out from their homes due to heavy rain falls. Acknowledging that the announcements were made with public safety in mind, Hyderabadi youngsters believe not enough is being done to prevent flooding and traffic snafus. But who can stop people form this lovely monsoon where love is expressed in the most best way. The couples around necklace road were found sticking together and warming themselves with Bhutha, on the other hand the youngistan which got stuck in the jam grew fussy about the flow and control of the traffic.
Raashi Pachisia, a Nift student says, “The problem is Hyderabad is not used to constant rains. Just a little rain can waterlog roads thanks to a bad drainage system. But instead of asking citizens to stay indoors, cops and the GHMC should work towards solving these problems. We cannot bring life to a halt because of a slight drizzle. Besides, Hyderabad doesn’t even receive a heavy downpour like Mumbai does. Every year it is the same story; makes one wonder where all our tax money goes.” Well said Raashi, where is the tax being invested any way?
Caught with the climate was my colleague, to him the best way to enjoy rains is to have Chai (hot tea) on the bundies. And I must say that the Bundiee Chai is lot more soothing then the coffees at any good coffee out lets. Well I personally feel that traffic jams and bad roads are always a part of monsoon, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the blessings from GOD!!!
